Evidence-based skin intelligence

Know what works for your skin

DermaSci turns complex skin science into personalized, evidence-based guidance for skincare products and in-clinic treatments.

Why DermaSci exists

Skin science is extraordinarily complex. The industry pretends it isn't.

The skin is a living, dynamic organ. Every visible change reflects overlapping processes at the cellular and molecular level: signalling, inflammation, barrier function, pigment production, vascular activity, collagen synthesis and the microbiome itself.

Nobody can reasonably evaluate that complexity while standing in a store, browsing products online or listening to their favourite influencer. Marketing overstates what products do, and people are exhausted with decision fatigue.

Clinics offering increasingly technical procedures face a similar problem at the consultation stage: a confused client is unlikely to proceed, and the opportunity is lost.

The result is a population of confused, distrustful consumers and clinics who cannot get or keep clients.

×Label claims without meaningful evidence
×Consultations that miss the mark
×Procedures that don't address the area of concern
✓One defined scientific standard, applied everywhere

What is DermaSci?

A skin intelligence company.

DermaSci software turns skin science into structure. We build two cutting-edge products that give consumers and aesthetic clinics clearer access to scientific evidence, personalized recommendations, and decision support that takes safety into account.

For consumers

A skincare app that gives people evidence-based recommendations on which ingredients, products, routines, and treatments are most relevant to their particular skin concerns.

For aesthetic clinics

A consultation and sales enablement platform that uses each clinic's procedure menu to create science-based treatment plans, standardize the consultation, and support stronger conversion, retention, and customer satisfaction.

For science

A defined appraisal framework for ingredients and aesthetic procedures, designed to make recommendations transparent and inspectable.

For trust

Evidence strength is visible, commercial relationships are disclosed, and safety is evaluated separately from potential benefit.

The Engine

Clarity about the right products, routines, and in-clinic treatments.

DermaSci helps people and practitioners understand which products, routines, treatments, and procedures fit the concern, sequence, and timing. It is a defined, auditable protocol rather than a chatbot or a language model improvising skincare advice.

  1. Step 1

    Concern mapping

Visible skin features and stated concerns are mapped to the right skin issues so the system starts with the correct problem.

  2. Step 2

    Context and timing

Sequence, goals, budget, routine, and treatment timing are added so the recommendation fits real life, not just theory.

  3. Step 3

    Safety screening

Safety is evaluated separately from benefit, so an option can be filtered, lowered, or blocked even when the science is strong.

  4. Step 4

    Personalized recommendation

The final output translates the evidence into ingredient guidance, product matching, routines, or clinic treatment plans with at-home care.

Our rating scale

Every ingredient and procedure carries an evidence level and the recommendation it supports. When the science is strong we say so, and when it is early or unsettled we say that too. We do not average conflicting findings into a false middle.

Strong Evidence
Consistent human clinical evidence, mainly from randomized trials or systematic reviews of them.
Strongly Recommend
Moderate Evidence
Randomized evidence with limitations, or strong consistent observational evidence meeting an upgrade condition.
Recommend
Emerging Science
Limited human evidence: a single observational study, or small or short trials.
Worth Trying
Promising but Early Science
Laboratory, animal, mechanistic, or isolated case-report evidence only.
Experimental
Popularity is not evidence. It doesn't matter how popular an ingredient, product, treatment or procedure is: our engine will rate it based on the scientific studies behind it.
Safety is assessed separately. A safety concern can lower or block a recommendation regardless of how strong the evidence of benefit is.
Science first, always disclosed. We recommend brands based on science alone and always disclose commercial relationships and partnerships to our community.

Products

One evidence engine, two product paths.

Consumers need clarity before they buy. Clinics need better structure during the consultation and stronger continuity after the visit.

Frequently asked questions

DermaSci, explained simply.

How the consumer and clinic products work, how the evidence is used, and how DermaSci approaches commercial relationships.

What is DermaSci?

DermaSci is a skin intelligence company with two cutting-edge products. The first is a consumer skincare app giving people access to evidence-based recommendations on what actually works for their particular skin concerns. The second is an aesthetics clinic app that streamlines consultations and provides science-based treatment plans based on the clinic's procedure menu, designed to support increased sales, retention, and customer satisfaction.

How are the consumer app and clinic platform connected?

The consumer app allows individuals to access the same scientific evidence framework to decide which ingredients, products, and treatments are most relevant to them, helping them stop wasting time and money on options that do not fit their needs.

Does DermaSci diagnose skin conditions?

No. DermaSci is designed to organize skin information and scientific evidence into guidance and decision support. It does not replace a medical diagnosis.

What does AI actually do?

AI can support optional image analysis by describing visible skin features. It is one input into the system. Evidence grading, safety logic, user context, and clinic treatment rules are handled separately.

How are recommendations graded?

Each ingredient and procedure receives an evidence level based on the scientific literature. Strong evidence is shown as strong, and early or unsettled evidence is clearly labeled rather than presented with the same certainty.

Can a safety concern block a recommendation?

Yes. Safety is assessed separately from evidence of benefit. A safety concern can lower or block a recommendation even when there is strong evidence that an option can be effective.

Does DermaSci recommend brands because of commercial relationships?

DermaSci recommends products strictly on the basis of the scientific evidence. All commercial relationships are disclosed, and consumers are given the exact ingredient concentration and dosage information so they can select a recommended product or another product that meets the same criteria.
